Table Tennis Matrix Style

OK, so I haven’t made any witty postings for a while (in fact, maybe none of my postings have ever been witty!!) but here are a couple of amusing things to keep you occupied and coming back to this site screaming for more!

First up is this very silly video clip from Japan. It’s a matrix version of a game of table tennis! It’s kinda funny, especially when you see the start for the first time, then it gets just plain stupid! Here’s the link – you’ll need Microsoft Windows player for it!! Click here.

Sticking with video’s, I was reading this story about some poor Canadian kid who made a silly homemade video which became so popular throughout the web that he’s now launched legal action against his classmates because all the attention is stressing him out! Why so popular? Well, he was at home, pretending to be a Jedi (hey, we’ve all been there, done that) but his mates (enemies) filmed him doing this and posted it on the web. Star Wars Kid was born. Click here (video 1) and here (video 2) to see the video with some special effects added or visit JediMaster.net for all the other vids!

I must admit, I don’t think I was ever that good when I was practising my Jedi moves.

Do you like wine? Ahh, the joy of sitting back, relaxing with your mates, sipping on a gorgeous bottle of your favourite vintage. Well, if you’ve got great wine, you’ll need a great set of glasses – and I recommend you get some of these! NOICE 🙂 Each glass holds over 13 bottles of wine, so no need to keep getting up for a top-up! (Although maybe you won’t be able to get up at all after 13 bottles!). Order them here.

Oh yeah – is anyone looking for weapons of mass destruction? If so you can find them here.

Enjoy the weekend everyone 🙂

Back in NYC

I’m back in NYC! Sorry for the downtime on the website everyone, but I’ve been on an awesome 3 week vacation! Photos and info will be uploaded soon – as will a brand new dance chart and some fresh new music videos!

Stay chooned!

No brains

So there I was on Wednesday morning walking over the Brooklyn Bridge, when all of a sudden I see this Boeing 777 hovering around 3000ft above the lower Manhattan skyline. Not only was it flying at a stupidly low altitude, but it was also doing some very uncharacteristic manouevres, namely sharp turns and dodgy-looking loops around the Statue Of Liberty. Then it decides to fly over the Bridge. You can only imagine what was going thru everyone’s heads as we walked over the Bridge….
The video footage – here
More on the story: ABC 7CNN.
What on earth were they thinking when they gave the go-ahead for that? INSANITY!

Car Videos

Hmmmm – ever seen a Ferrari suffer from a bad case of understeer? Check this out. I just feel sorry for that poor guy who was simply trying to wave him the other way! Ouch!
Then you’ve got these crazy people (I think they’re from Poland)(I mean these particular crazy people were from Poland) that love to take a car and….errrr… see for yourself. Insane! Please don’t ever think of doing something like that in your MG!

Site Tidy

OK – I’ve started to Spring Clean the site and get ready to move stuff around. The SMS Gateway has gone – every website I can find now asks you to register with them before you can use them, so there’s not much need for the SMS plugin I was using.

The radio streams have been updated – Galaxy 101 is now Vibe 101, Jazz FM in the North West now has it’s own stream, and 2 new Choice FM streams are online too.

Richii goes to Toronto

OK – so last week I went off to Toronto to sort out my visa. One word about Toronto – COLD! When I got there, it was -7 Celcius – pretty nippy even for someone wrapped up like this! But no – that was the high temp – the following day at midday, it was a pleasant -15C with a nice windchill of -23C.
Anyway – apart from the cold, I thought it was a really nice city – very clean after being in New York for such a long time! Here’s a nice boring link to Scotia Plaza where I got my visa sorted, a link to CN Tower (which was awesome!), and a pic of Nelly Furtado(I never knew she was Canadian until 30 seconds ago!).
I’ve finally updated my gallery, so you can find Toronto Photos here, Times Square in the snow here and photos of Kitster here.

Moments

Life is all about moments. Think about the decisions that you make in your life. Like buying a car or a house. Maybe you’ll spend a couple of hours going for a test drive or going round the property several times. And then think about how much time you’ll actually spend with your purchase. You’ve actually only spent a tiny fraction of your time with something, and yet you instinctivly know that it is what you want. After just a few moments. WOW!
(And no, I’m not about to buy a house or a car!)
(Woah – that was kinda deep – I’ll have to try harder to keep off the Bacardi 151!!) 🙂

Yeah – I’m back from the UK! HP New Year!

Xmas Wants!

OK – it’s Christmas time, and I know all of you richii.com fans want to treat me to something nice, so here’s a list of my wants!
Pioneer Pure Vision 50″ Plasma TV. What an awesome bit of kit – it won ‘Best Buy’ in the Plasmas & Projectors category in the What Hi Fi and What Video & TV 2002 Awards. Gorgeous!
Pioneer VSA-AX10 Amplifier. If you’re going have Plasma, then the VSA-AX10 complements it perfectly. This award winning amp features THX Ultra2, Dolby Pro logic II, DTS 96/24 as well as THX Surround EX, Dolby Digital, DTS-ES and DTS. Again, this won Best Buy in both the What Hi Fi and What TV & Video 2002 Awards
The LaZ-Boy. Every bachelor pad should have one of these! Made by hand, it features a beer cooler that can hold up to 6 cans, 10-motor massage and heat system and a telephone. Just the job for watching BVS!
Pioneer CMX-5000 CDJ Decks. These are still the decks I want despite Pioneer subsequently releasing the CMX-3000s. These are just the job for mixing the dotDANCE choons!
ICE Shot glasses. Simply fill with water, freeze and you’ve got the perfect accompanyment to your Bacardi 151! (Why is Richii so interested in drinking this flamable drink neat? After reading this review, I’m not so sure myself!)
Mini Fridge. OK, so technically I don’t really need this, since I’d be extremly lazy if I couldn’t walk the 10 paces to go from the corner of my apartment to my fridge (BTW – why is it that American fridges are so big?) but this is still a handy thing to have, in case the one in the La-Z-Boy packs up!
Flashing Beer Mug. I reckon one of these would help my pulling successes ‘cos I cold program my chat up lines into the LED display!
Oh yeah, peace on Earth would be nice, but I think that may be pushing it 😉

Blind Date

Last night, Jessica & Alex were watching TV when they suddenly saw Addi appear on the TV Show Blind Date. Talk about a surprise! This show is really different to the UK version since you don’t get to blindly choose your dates by asking them questions – the TV peeps hook you up instead.

I didn’t see it, but there’s a short 30 second clip of the show here thanks to Jessica & Alex.
Cool!
Richii to appear on this show? Click here and tell me if you think I should!

New York mad people

New York is full of crazy people. I know, I know, it’s not something that I’ve just worked out – it’s been like this since donkeys years ago. Hells, I’m in New York so I guess I am one of them too. But I reckon that there’s higher proportion of muppet maddness on the 4/5/6 trains. There’s always something crazy going on.

Tonight I was minding on own biz, I got on the subway and it was packed as usual. I’d got my headphones on listening to the Sugababes. It was actually a mix of one of their tracks and I was really getting into it. Not singing out loud or anything. No dance routines in the middle of the carriage, maybe just a lil’ bop of the head. Anyway, as usual I seem to send up next to the weirdo. He started talking to me – it looked like he was making fun of my headphones or something. They’re these funky black/yellow kind, so I guess it attracted his attention. Anyway, he kept letting go of the handrails and crashing into me when the train stoped. There was no where else to go the train was so packed. Poor bloke. Poor me. He kept doing this breakdance movementy type thing with his hands – I thought for a second he was getting into my Sugababes mix, but I don’t think he was.

Anyway, he got off, more people got off, I got a seat. Then this other weirdo got on the train. He could not stand still. He went and stood by the doors – nothing unsual about that – but then he ran (yes, ran) right down to the other end of the carriage and then stood at the other set of doors. OK – so maybe he was in a hurry and needed to get out quickly. No – he then dashes back to my end of the train and stands by the other door. This happened like 20 times or so. Back and forward, back and forward. Maybe he needed the loo or something, but then why didn’t he get out sooner? I don’t understand. Wierd. Or is it just me?
