Updates to Radio Streams

Jazz FM is no longer broadcasting to the North East of the UK, so it’s gone from the streams page. You can still listen to the London station here. Added a new stream for ID & T Radio based in the Netherlands – commercial dance stuff in the day, specialist dance in the evenings, including Armin Van Buuren’s A State Of Trance. The stream is here (uses Winamp).

MG Sport & Racing Offer Even More Performance With “R” Version Of MG XPower SV A

MG Sport & Racing announced last week a higher-powered version of its high performance sports car, the MG XPOWER SV-R, at the Geneva Show.

The extra performance comes from a 5-0 litre, XPOWER version of the all aluminium, 32 valve, double overhead camshaft V8 engine. Built in conjunction with V8 tuning specialist Sean Hyland the car accelerates from standstill to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds. Top speed is circa 175 mph/ 282 kph.

The modifications to the engine give a significant increase in power output from the 320 hp of the level entry SV to 400 hp at 6000 rpm in the SV-R. At the same time, the extra engine capacity gives a massive increase in torque from 410Nm to 510 Nm at 4750 rpm for awesome mid range performance.

To keep the extra power under control, the SV-R is fitted with larger diameter Brembo brake discs. New alloy wheels, a rear wing and unique detailing set this car apart.

Naturally the SV-R retains all the best features of the entry level SV, recently launched in the UK. The high tech vehicle features F1 inspired carbon fibre composite body construction, double wishbone race-developed suspension, remote telemetry with security tracking and full harness inertia seat belts.

An automatic transmission option will be available.

Every SV is individually built to personal customer order and prices for the entry level SV start from £65,750.00.

Prices for the new SV-R start from £82,950.00

Recently appointed Managing Director of MG Sport & Racing John Parkinson said: “The SV-R is the next step in the evolution of the SV range and represents a tremendous increase in power and performance which makes it a thrill to drive.”

March 2004 Dance Chart

The March 2004 Dance Chart is out now!

At the top of the chart is probably one of the best vocal trance tracks of the year so far. IIO – Smooth (Airbase Remix) takes the gorgeous vocals by African-born Nadia and mixes them with some Airscape-sounding uplifting trance. Result? Choon! I have no idea if Airbase and Airscape are one and the same, but they do sound very similar! Anyway – check out this track now! The commercial release of the single also features a stack of other mixes too, so something to please everyone.

At number 2 is very good housey track from the Benny Benassi stable. However, the Vision mix sounds nothing like the electo-sounding “Satisfaction” which was the hit of summer 2003. If you’re after that sound, then there’s the Sfaction Mix, but it’s the Vision Mix which forms the basis for the radio edit and club mix. For a totally different slant on the track, you MUST check the lush-sounding “Alle Slow Mix” – a nice chillout version – perfect for the nights of Summer 2004! (yeah – Summer is just around the corner now!)

Stepping up a gear, at number 3 is the NY-sounding LIV (Life In Intense Volume) with Journey Of Love. Choon! Check the Extended Mix – great track, excellent production – chooner! At number 4 is a superb new dance act from The Netherlands called Candee Jay. You can check out her excellent website here. Pronti & Kalmani are behind Candee – they’re the peeps that did “Janeiro” (THE track of 2002?) and they were also responsible for some very popular artists in 99/2000. Commercial, yes, but there are some great mixes for this single! Check it out!

Brit dance acts JX and Kelly Lllorenna feature at numbers 5 and 6, whilst at number 7 is the very catchy “Girlfriend” by Robbie Rivera. It’s as catchy as chickenpox (but nicer!) and you’ll be singing it for ages.

Anyway, check out the complete March 2004 Dance Charts here.

More next month – stay chooned!

Dance Videos – February 2004

I found a few more videos to keep all your dance fans HP! First up is the most excellent instrumental trance track DJ Peran – We Want To Be Free. WARNING! X-Rated vid! This track reminds me of the summer, washing the car, going for a drive, roof down! Although I don’t think I’ve ever had my car washed by such babes! Anyway, like I say, it’s little on the dodgy side, so don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

Next up is a track that I keep hearing on Galaxy. It by The Lost Brothers – Cry Little Sister and it’s a choon! A version also appears on the latest Ultra.Trance album. Choon! 100%! (Watch out for the vampires in that vid!) 🙂

Next up is the brand new single by Junior Jack – Da Hype. It’s due out for a UK release later this month and features vocals from Robert Smith (apparently he was in The Cure?!)(yeah, I know, I know – soz, I’m not a fan of The Cure!)

Next up is this odd kind of track that I found. In fact, it’s not sung in English, so I have no idea what she is singing. But Lorna – Papa Chulo is a cool video, and the gal keeps going on about “Papi” and “loco”. Works for me! 🙂 It guess is the kind of thing you’d see on MUN-DOS.

The last 2 vids I’ve added are the Unrated version of Yomanda – You’re Free (wow – I’d forgotten how good that track sounds!)(do what you want to do!) and Tim Deluxe – Less Talk More Action. Both cool, both fresh, and both very chewy! Enjoy!
